Even though "Gears of War 3" won't be out in April 2011 as Epic Games originally planned, eager participants in the game's multiplayer beta test may be able to start playing with the sequel's guns by then. The news came as Epic announced that the Epic Edition of "Bulletstorm" would come with early "GoW3" beta access when it ships in Feburary.

"Epic is poised to break new ground in 2011 with Gears of War 3 and
Bulletstorm," Epic Games president Dr. Michael Capps said in a
statement.

"With these two highly anticipated triple-A experiences comes
a unique opportunity to do something to really excite players, and
that's what we intend to accomplish with the support of Microsoft Game
Studios and EA. This is for the shooter fans."

Epic anticipates a spring start date for the beta, according to a report on GameSpot.

The Epic Edition of "Bulletstorm" costs the same as the game's
regular edition, provided you pre-order it, making this a lucrative
offer for anyone with an interest in one or both titles.

It will be
available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, but you'll have to buy
the 360 version to get in on the "Gears" beta.

Just figure out what you want to do before February 22 when
"Bulletstorm" comes out. Otherwise, you may find yourself missing out
altogether and in need of another beta access option.

btw gears3 is not coming out till after july next year :s they announced that ages ago. but i probably will get this game to get the beta woooohh

hey dont hate on ps3/your right they do get live for free.but at the same time they dont have all the dedicated servers banning them and just making sure nothing happens to them while online.thats what we pay for on the xbox,and thats why soon i will be buying a ps3,but i wll be keeping my xbox

bulletstorm is coming out for ps3, xbox 360 and pc but the bulletstorm epic edition which has the gears 3 beta is only for xbox 360 owners.
i preordered mine so im going to get it when its released
