An email has been sent out by Microsoft promoting an upcoming Double XP Weekend for Call of Duty: Black Ops, as well as Xbox Live's Free Weekend. The email states that both events will take place during the same dates, that being from November 26th (Black Friday) and ending on November 28th. Being that the free Gold Weekend will be running during the same time period as the Double XP Weekend, Silver Members will be given the opportunity to jump into the action -- a clever marketing strategy indeed as Silver Members will undoubtedly pick Black Ops as their game choice, resulting in many deciding to finally go Gold. As of now, it's not clear as to whether or not the PC and PS3 versions will receive the event, so we'll be sure to keep you posted as soon as we get the details.
